The Carmine Brown is a reddish brown colored high production Brown Sex-Link, which will lay approximately 260-280 dark brown eggs per year, or approximately 5+ eggs per week per hen. Carmine is a specific shade of red or dark reddish brown, which perfectly describes her feather color! The Cockerels are yellow chicks, and have white feathers when they are adults.
She is the bird of choice for today’s egg farmers who expect high egg numbers and a forgiving bird.
