This fantastic hybrid layer hails from the Vario-Ovo project, a set of hybrid crosses maintained by Centurion Poultry.

The ColorPack Vario is unlike any other!

 
This proprietary cross results in several sets of coloration in the final hybrid chicks. Some chicks may be black, others golden or buff colored, and others, a chipmunk coloration, with striping down their backs. This wide variety of coloration yields a vast coloration of possible egg colors as well!

Expect mostly green eggs, but you may also end up seeing a few dark brown, blue and even tinted or white eggs with this breedline! The ColorPack Vario will lay 280+ eggs per year.

ColorPack Vario cockerel chicks are typically very similar in color.

The reason that we refer to this breedline as the ColorPack Vario, is because this breed will make a perfect addition to your colored egg assortment of layers, truly helping you achieve a “colorpack” carton of eggs, producing a wide assortment of colors and hues in egg color.

Due to genetic variation which may occur as a result of crossbreeding, egg color may vary slightly from dark to pale blue, olive green to mint green, brown to dark brown, or other color tint variations. **
